Though the story premises is not an original one, the repackaging is done exceptionally well. The main driving force of the movie is the music, background score (by Anirudh), and cinematorgraphy. The gore and violence is plentiful throughout the runtime. The natural and organic chemistry that develops between Das and Chandra is plesant to watch. Overall the movie theatre experience was engaging.

- *When I first started watching DC, I went in expecting the usual, run-of-the-mill Tamil commercial action flick filled with predictable gangster violence and classic police-versus-outlaw tropes. But boy, was I wrong! As the film crossed its first 25 minutes, the narrative took a sharp, intense turn. I found myself completely sucked into the screen, deeply invested in every single character's psychological and emotional arc.* - *To be honest, I haven't tracked Lokesh Kanagaraj much as an actor before, but I've always been a massive fan of his directorial work, known for its flawless storytelling and immaculate setup. Stepping in front of the camera as the lead hero for the first time, Lokesh has delivered a performance that is nothing short of extraordinary! His screen presence is commanding, raw, and completely unexpected.* - *Equally brilliant is Wamiqa Gabbi. Her performance as Chandra is grounded, raw, and absolutely stellar, adding a beautiful layer to this intense dark romance. The core of the movie relies on a brutal yet highly engaging revenge plot, but what sets it apart is the action choreography. Instead of relying on over-the-top, cartoonish stunts, the action sequences here feel incredibly natural, grounded, and fiercely aggressive.* - *A huge shoutout goes to the technical crew, especially the exceptional background music (BGM) by Anirudh Ravichander. The pulse-pounding score amplifies the gritty atmosphere and makes the revenge-driven narrative feel deeply personal and impactful.* - *If I have one minor grievance, it's that the middle portions could have been slightly elevated if they had added a few well-placed music videos to seamlessly blend the pacing. That aside, DC completely caught me off guard and blew me away!* - *Kudos to the entire team, and all the best to actor Lokesh Kanagaraj-you have a brilliant future ahead on screen!*
